Karbi Anglong (Assam), 02 September (HS): A severe road accident occurred in Kheroni, West Karbi Anglong, leaving two persons critically injured after being hit by a speedy vehicle.

Local residents immediately rescued the victims and rushed them to Kheroni Hospital. Later, doctors referred both to Diphu for advanced treatment.

The injured, yet to be formally identified, are reported to be residents of Felangpi Teron village. The vehicle involved bore registration number AS-01-GE-9969.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident, officials informed on Tuesday.
