Chitradurga, 02 September (H.S.) : The ED officials have again raided the house of Congress MLA Veerendra Pappi from Chitradurga( Karnataka), who is in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate. ED officials have conducted searches at an old town house in Challakere, Chitradurga.

Sources said that the raid was carried out in connection with an online betting and money laundering case. It is learnt that the ED officials have inspected the documents inside the house and are searching for new evidence.

ED officials have also conducted a search at Veerendra Pappi's house in Chitradurga Fort locality. it is learnt that there is a possibility of confiscating four luxury cars parked in the fort area house.

Earlier, on August 22, ED officials had raided Virendra's house from 5 am to midnight and examined documents. At that time, huge wealth including crores of rupees in cash, gold jewellery, and foreign currency was seized.

The interrogation of MLA Veerendra Pappi, who is already in ED custody, is continuing, and ED officials have raided him again today based on the statement given during the interrogation.
