Tinsukia (Assam), 02 September (HS): Golaghat’s Tikeshwar Kurmi bagged the first position in the Digboi Marathon held on Tuesday. The 10-kilometer run, organized by the Powai Youth Association, started from Digboi city and concluded at Powai railway gate.

The marathon was inaugurated by Digboi MLA Suren Phukan, who flagged off the event as part of a community festival. Runners from Jorhat, Golaghat, Morigaon, Dibrugarh and Tinsukia districts participated in the competition.

According to the results, Tikeshwar Kurmi from Golaghat secured the top spot, followed by Morigaon’s Simanta Bordoloi in second place, while Jorhat’s Bipin Munda finished third.
