Latur, 01 Sep (HS): Villagers on the banks of the Rena River in Maharashtra’s Latur district have been alerted as 629.22 CuSecs of water is being released from the Renapur Project. Two gates of the project have
been opened on Monday. The water is being released in the Rena River, which
result in flooding the localities on the banks of the river.
The decision to increase or reduce the discharge of
water will be made based on the amount of water received by the dam from its catchment area.
The Flood Control Department has alerted the
villagers near the Rena River.
