Morigaon (Assam), 01 September (HS): A tragic road accident occurred at Deosal Majgaon on National Highway in Jagiroad, Morigaon district, Jagiroad police official confirmed on Monday. A 12-year-old schoolgirl, identified as Miniya Rajbhar of Deosal Majgaon, killed on the spot after being hit by a speeding vehicle.

The incident took place when the girl was on her way to school. A vehicle coming from the Nagon side struck her, leading to her immediate death. The victim was a student of Sitasukhola Higher Secondary School.

Police have seized the vehicle involved in the accident, bearing registration number AS-03-AB-8774, and further investigation is underway.
