Tezpur (Assam), 01 September (HS): The controversy over the distortion of Kalaguru Bishnuprasad Rabha’s immortal song “Porojonomor Shubhalogonot” has intensified. On Monday, Hemraj Rabha, son of the legendary Kalaguru, filed a First Information Report (FIR) at Tezpur Sadar Police Station against singer Karishma Nath.

As announced earlier, the FIR was lodged jointly by Hemraj Rabha along with the Bishnuprasad Rabha Smriti Nyas. The complaint alleges that singer Karishma Nath distorted the tune composed by Kalaguru and performed it publicly, sparking widespread criticism.

Apart from Karishma Nath, Kailash Talukdar and Montu Deka have also been named in the FIR lodged by Hemraj Rabha.
