New Delhi, September 1(HS):

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the much-anticipated ‘Semicon India 2025’ on September 2 at approximately 10 AM at the iconic Yashobhoomi convention center in New Delhi. This landmark event, running through September 4, aims to catalyse the growth of a robust, resilient, and sustainable semiconductor ecosystem within India, reinforcing the nation’s ambitions to emerge as a global powerhouse in semiconductor design, manufacturing, and technology development.

The three-day conference will spotlight critical advancements ranging from semiconductor fabrication and advanced packaging to cutting-edge artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, and research and development innovations. It will also explore investment opportunities, infrastructure readiness, and the implementation of progressive state-level policies. The event will prominently feature initiatives under the Design Linked Incentive (DLI) scheme, the thriving startup ecosystem, and extensive international cooperation, delivering a holistic outlook on India’s semiconductor roadmap.

More than 20,750 participants are expected to take part, including over 2,500 delegates from 48+ countries, 150+ speakers with over 50 global industry leaders, and 350+ exhibitors. Six country roundtables and dedicated pavilions highlighting workforce development and startups will further enrich the conference. On September 3, the Prime Minister will also engage in a CEOs roundtable, fostering high-level dialogue among top leaders.

Semicon India has established itself as a pivotal platform since its inception, with previous conferences held in Bengaluru (2022), Gandhinagar (2023), and Greater Noida (2024), driving forward the vision of making India a semiconductor design and manufacturing hub. Yashobhoomi, one of Asia’s largest convention centers, provides a fitting venue for this ambitious convergence of global semiconductor innovators and policymakers.

Under the banner ‘Building the Next Semiconductor Powerhouse,’ Semicon India 2025 echoes Prime Minister Modi’s commitment to positioning India at the forefront of the global semiconductor landscape, capitalizing on a market poised to grow beyond $100 billion by 2030. The event underscores India’s strategic push through significant government investments and policy frameworks to bridge technological gaps and accelerate the semiconductor ecosystem’s expansion.

This edition of Semicon India promises an unparalleled showcase of India’s growing capabilities and ambitions in the microelectronics and semiconductor value chain, signaling a transformative era for the country’s electronics and semiconductor industry.
