Delhi, 1 September(HS): An elite Indian Army battalion from the Madras Regiment has set forth for Fort Wainwright, Alaska, to participate in the 21st edition of the prestigious India–USA Joint Military Exercise, Yudh Abhyas 2025, running from September 1 to 14.
This high-intensity, two-week military collaboration pairs the Indian contingent with the formidable 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regiment “Bobcats” of the Arctic Wolves Brigade Combat Team, 11th Airborne Division of the US Army. Together, these battle-tested forces will engage in advanced tactical drills encompassing heliborne operations, mountain warfare, and integrated deployment of artillery, aviation, and electronic warfare assets.

Climaxing with meticulously coordinated live-fire and high-altitude warfare maneuvers, Yudh Abhyas 2025 aims to not only sharpen strategic interoperability between the two allies but also enhance joint preparedness for complex multi-domain security challenges and United Nations peacekeeping missions worldwide.
This exercise reinforces the unwavering defence partnership and shared commitment of India and the USA to global stability and security.
