01 Sept (HS): The Special POCSO Court of Jalaun district has sentenced Anil

Kumar, the accused of raping a five-year-old girl, to life imprisonment. The

court has also imposed a fine of Rs 2 lakh on the accused. Out of this fine, Rs

1 lakh was ordered to be given to the victim as compensation. This sensational

case is from Kailiya police station area. On the night of July 15, the victim's

mother reached the police station with her daughter and lodged a complaint

against the accused. On the night of July 16 at 1:17 pm, the police registered

an FIR and took immediate action and arrested the accused Anil Kumar and sent

him to jail. It was alleged that Anil Kumar called the 5-year-old girl to his

house on the pretext of showing the mobile and raped her there. After the

incident, when the girl's condition deteriorated, she told her mother about the

incident, after which the family informed the police. The accused was in jail

since the FIR was registered. The Special POCSO Court showed speed in hearing

the case and while giving the verdict, sentenced the accused to life

imprisonment. The prosecution said that a fine of Rs 2 lakh has also been

imposed. Out of this fine, Rs 1 lakh was ordered to be given as compensation to

the victim.
