Sonitpur (Assam), 01 September (HS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers staged a protest in Tezpur against the remarks made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

The protest march began from Tezpur Court Chariali and moved towards the Rajiv Bhawan in Tezpur. Upon reaching the Congress office, some protesters defaced banners, damaged doors and created a ruckus at the premises.

The demonstration also witnessed heated altercations between BJP workers and the police, leading to tense scenes in the area. The protest, marked by unruly behavior, was part of BJP’s statewide agitation against Rahul Gandhi’s comments.--------
