Delhi, 6 August (H.S.): Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha resumed at 11 am, starting with an obituary reference to former member Satya Pal Malik. On the 13th day of the Monsoon Session, significant legislative business in Lok Sabha includes a statement on Manipur's budget by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. Key bills regarding sports development and amendments to the National Anti-Doping Act are on the agenda.

Congress MP Manickam Tagore moved an adjournment motion notice for discussing the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar. Randeep Surjewala from Congress proposed to suspend Zero Hour and Question Hour in Rajya Sabha to address electoral process integrity, under Rule 267. Congress MP Hibi Eden's motion in Lok Sabha focuses on a controversial Bombay High Court appointment, raising concerns over judiciary independence.

Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya is set to present the National Sports Governance Bill, 2025, aimed at promoting ethical sports development. Congress MP Renuka Chowdhury also moved a notice in Rajya Sabha regarding the SIR of electoral rolls in Bihar. Outside Parliament, Priyanka Gandhi addressed the Utrakhand landslides, urging comprehensive preventive measures.

Additionally, Trinamool Congress MPs protested against perceived disrespect to Bengal. Lok Sabha was adjourned till noon shortly after commencement due to Opposition uproar, while Rajya Sabha adjourned until 2 pm after rejecting notices under Rule 267, resulting in further protests from Opposition MPs.
