Delhi, 6 August (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the M.S. Swaminathan Centenary International Conference on 7th August at ICAR PUSA, New Delhi, at 9 AM, addressing attendees on the theme “Evergreen Revolution, The Pathway to Biohappiness.”

The conference aims to honor Prof. Swaminathan’s commitment to global food security, encouraging dialogue among scientists, policymakers, and development professionals on sustainable management of biodiversity, agriculture for food and nutrition security, climate resilience, and inclusive development involving youth, women, and marginalized communities.

Additionally, the M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation and The World Academy of Sciences will launch the M.S. Swaminathan Award for Food and Peace, with the Prime Minister presenting the inaugural award to an individual contributing to food security and climate justice in developing countries.
