Delhi, 5 August (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his condolences to those affected by the tragedy in Dharali, Uttarkashi. He has also wished for the well-being of all those impacted by the incident.

PM Modi also spoke to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and took stock of the situation.

The Prime Minister assured that no effort is being spared to ensure timely assistance to those in need.

In a X post, Mr Modi said;

“I express my condolences to the people affected by this tragedy in Dharali, Uttarkashi. Along with this, I wish well for all the victims. I have taken information about the situation by talking to Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami ji. Relief and rescue teams are making every possible effort under the supervision of the state government. No stone is being left unturned in providing help to the people.

A massive cloudburst in Uttarkashi's Dharali area in Uttarakhand on Tuesday triggered flash floods, with the raging waters washing away several houses and villages. Several people are reportedly missing after being washed away by the floods.
