New Delhi, August 4(HS): Today, global market signals are weak. The US faced a notable decline in the previous session, with Wall Street indices decreasing significantly. The S&P 500 fell 101.38 points (1.60%) to close at 6,238.01, and the Nasdaq dropped 472.32 points (2.24%) to 20,650.13.However, Dow Jones futures are currently up 162.69 points (0.37%) at 43,751.27.
European markets mirrored this pressure, with the FTSE down 0.71% at 9,068.58, the CAC down 225.81 points (2.99%) to 7,546.16, and the DAX down 639.50 points (2.73%) at 23,425.97.
In Asia, trading is mixed, with 6 out of 9 indices in positive territory. However, the Nikkei is down 515.60 points (1.26%) to 40,284, Taiwan's Weighted Index is down 126.40 points (0.54%) to 23,307.98, and Jakarta's Composite is down 0.18% to 7,524.06.
Conversely, GIFT Nifty is up 124 points (0.50%) at 24,723, Straits Times Index up 0.65% to 4,181, and KOSPI up 1.02% at 3,151.18, among others showing gains.
