Chennai, August 3 (HS): Popular Tamil film comedian Madhavan Bob passed away at the age of 71 on Saturday evening at his residence in Adyar, Chennai. He had been battling health related issues for some time.

Madhavan Bob was known for his impeccable comic timing and worked alongside superstars like Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Ajith, Suriya, and Vijay. Over the course of his career, he appeared in around 600 films, not only in Tamil but also in Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema. He was also seen as a judge on Sun TV’s popular comedy show Asatha Povathu Yaaru.

Following the news of his demise, fellow actors and fans have been paying tribute to him on social media.
