Nagpur, 02 Aug (HS): Chief
Justice of India B.R. Gavai paid a personal visit to the residence of
Grandmaster Divya Deshmukh in Nagpur to extend his warm congratulations on her
remarkable achievement. During the visit, he fondly recalled the long-standing
bond between the Deshmukh and Gavai families.
The late Dr K G Deshmukh
(Divya’s grandfather), a distinguished academician and former Vice-Chancellor
of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, was known across the academic world for
his scholarly pursuits, intellectual depth, and visionary outlook. Chief
Justice Gavai reminisced about the deep and affectionate association that
existed for decades between Dr Deshmukh and his father, Dadasaheb Gavai. With
the Deshmukh family originally hailing from Amravati, the two families have
shared a close and emotional bond over the years.
“Divya’s success is
not only a proud moment for Maharashtra but also a significant milestone for the
entire nation. Her achievements will serve as an inspiration to many and will
encourage the next generation to aim higher,” said Chief Justice Gavai.
