Mumbai, 02 Aug (HS): The Election Commission of

India has doubled the annual honorarium of the Booth-Level Officers (BLOs), and

hiked the honorarium of Supervisors. The Electoral Registration Officers EROs) and

Assistant EROs will be paid honorarium for the first time.

The BLO’s honorarium has been hiked from Rs 6,000 to

Rs 12,000. The honorarium for review of the electoral list has been increased

from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000. BLO Supervisors will get Rs 18,000, instead of Rs

12,000. AEROs will get Rs 25,000 for the first time and EROs will be paid Rs

30,000.

The honorarium of Rs 6,000 will be paid to BLOs for

the speedy review of the electoral list in Bihar.
