17 Aug (HS): Police has disclosed the murder case of BJP booth president

Rinku Singh, resident of Ratanpur Kala of Pakbara police station area of the

district. Rinku Singh was murdered by his cousin Arun due to his love affair

with his wife. The police have arrested the accused. Superintendent of

Police Nagar Kumar Ranvijay Singh and Police Officer Highway Rajesh Kumar told

in a press conference in the Police Lines auditorium on Sunday that Rinku Singh

(38 years), resident of Ratanpur Kala village of Pakbada police station area,

was the booth president of BJP. He also used to do contracting in a firm

located near the Growth Center. On the morning of August 2, Rinku Singh's body

was found near the gate of the old government hospital in Ratanpur Kala.

On the

complaint of deceased Rinku Singh's father Satveer Singh, Pakbada police had

registered a murder case against unknown. Police officials told journalists

that when the CDR of Rinku Singh's mobile was retrieved, it was found that he

used to talk for long hours on the phone with his cousin Arun's wife. When the

police investigated thoroughly, the needle of suspicion pointed towards Arun.

After which SHO Pakbada Vinod Kumar's team took the accused Arun into custody

and interrogated him thoroughly. According to SP City, the accused Arun

confessed to killing Rinku. Rinku was his cousin as well as a good friend.

Arun's house was originally in Narauli of Sambhal. Rinku used to visit his

house frequently. The accused said that his wife and Arun were having an affair.

The accused told the police that he had also informed Rinku's

father Satvir about this matter, but his activities did not stop. Frustrated,

he hatched a plan to eliminate Rinku. The accused told the police that the

factory where he works as a wood carver has chemical powder for polishing

metal. He brought the powder from there and dissolved it in a bottle. The

police officer said that Arun mixed the chemical in alcohol and made Rinku

drink it, which led to Rinku's death. SP City said that on the indication of

the accused, the bottle of poison used in the murder, the wrapper of the

alcohol and the glass have been recovered. The team that arrested the accused

Arun included Pakbarha police station in-charge inspector Vinod Kumar,

sub-inspector Anil Kumar, head constable Basant Kumar and Ekant Kumar,

constable Vikrant and Vijendra Singh.
