New Delhi, August 17(HS): Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, on Sunday extended his warm congratulations to Maharashtra Governor C. P. Radhakrishnan on being officially nominated as the National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) candidate for the upcoming Vice-Presidential election.

In a post on social media platform X, Amit Shah lauded Radhakrishnan’s decades-long public life and institutional acumen, underscoring his invaluable service both as a parliamentarian and as the constitutional head of various states. “Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan Ji’s roles as a parliamentarian and as governor of different states have played a significant role in effectively fulfilling the constitutional duties. His vast experience and wisdom will surely elevate the dignity of the Rajya Sabha and help usher in new milestones,” Shah remarked.

Expressing his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP Parliamentary Board for selecting a candidate of such stature, Shah said the nomination reflected the NDA’s commitment to robust leadership rooted in constitutional propriety, democratic values, and seasoned governance.

C. P. Radhakrishnan, a veteran political leader with deep legislative expertise and administrative experience, has earned widespread respect across the political spectrum. His nomination is being viewed by political observers as a strategic choice aimed at reinforcing stability, consensus-building, and intellectual gravitas in the Upper House of Parliament.

The Vice-Presidential election, which will be closely watched across the political landscape, is expected to set the tone for evolving parliamentary dynamics.
