New Delhi, August 16 (HS): President Droupadi Murmu today unveiled a trio of exquisitely designed landscapes—Plumeria Garden, Banyan Grove, and Babbling Brook—within the historic President’s Estate, further enriching the renowned Amrit Udyan. The additions, envisioned as immersive experiences blending nature, wellness, and artistry, are now open to the public until September 14, 2025.

The Plumeria Garden, marked by undulating grass mounds and meticulously curated plantations, offers a serene escape into layered greenery and floral fragrance. Banyan Grove, conceived as a meditative haven, features reflexology paths, Panchtatva-inspired trails, and forest-infused soundscapes that evoke harmony with the elements. Meanwhile, the Babbling Brook captivates visitors with gently cascading streams, sculptural water spouts, stepping-stone passages, and a striking elevated reflecting pool—a space designed to mirror both water and sky.

With these new additions, Amrit Udyan continues to expand its identity from being a formal Mughal Garden to a multifaceted landscape celebrating ecological sensitivity and cultural imagination. Officials noted that the redesigned areas emphasize sustainability while fostering a contemplative connection with nature.

The gardens will remain open to visitors till mid-September, offering the public a rare opportunity to traverse these newly inaugurated spaces in peak bloom and vibrancy.
