Bhubaneswar, 16 August (H.S.): The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, on Saturday announced the results of the 2025 High School Certificate (HSC) and State Open School Certificate (SOSC) supplementary examinations. The overall pass percentage for the HSC supplementary exam stood at 56.23%, while the SOSC supplementary exam recorded a pass percentage of 55.26%.

Announcing the results, BSE Chairman Srikant Tarai stated that a total of 3,457 students had appeared for the HSC supplementary exams, out of which 1,944 students successfully cleared the exam. Among the high scorers, three students secured A2 grade, 14 students achieved B1, and 39 obtained B2. The majority received grades ranging from C to F, while 976 students were placed in the compartment category, and 474 were marked absent.

In the SOSC (2nd) supplementary examinations, 10,809 candidates had applied, with 5,973 students passing the exam. The performance breakdown includes 13 students with A2, 232 with B1, and 723 with B2 grades. A total of 46 candidates were booked for malpractice, and 625 students were absent.

The 2025 HSC and SOSC supplementary examinations were conducted between June 30 and July 10. The supplementary exams offer students who failed the main annual exams an opportunity to improve their results within the same academic year.
