Azamgarh,
16 Aug (HS): On the occasion of Independence Day, Urban Development and Energy
Minister A.K. Sharma paid floral tribute to Amar Shaheed K.K. Singh by
garlanding his statue in a program organized in Nagar Panchayat Jahanganj.
During this, Minister AK Sharma said that the country's independence is the
result of the sacrifice and courage of brave sons, which we will always
remember. In the program, the Urban Development and Energy Minister inaugurated
and laid the foundation stone of 64 development works costing more than Rs. 24
crores in Nagar Panchayat Jahanganj. These projects include road construction,
construction of drains, drinking water supply schemes, Chief Minister Nagar
Srujan Yojana, Global Nagarodaya Yojana, Lake/Pond Conservation Scheme and Pandit
Deendayal Upadhyay Adarsh Nagar Panchayat Yojana.
The
minister also inaugurated the newly constructed Nagar Panchayat office, which
is equipped with modern facilities and provide Nagar Panchayat related services
to the citizens in a quick and transparent manner. On this occasion, he said
that the state government is committed to taking development to every corner of
the village, town and city. Today's inauguration and foundation stone lying
will strengthen the infrastructure of the area and improve the living standards
of the citizens. Local public representatives, senior officials, family members
of freedom fighters and a large number of citizens were present in the program.
