(HS): On the occasion of 79th Independence Day, Minister of State
for Excise and Liquor Prohibition, Nitin Agarwal hoisted the flag at Gandhi
Bhawan premises and sang the national anthem along with the officers present
etc. District Magistrate Anunay Jha and Superintendent of Police Neeraj Jadoun
garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and offered flowers and inaugurated the
grand program organized in Gandhi Bhawan auditorium by lighting a lamp.
Addressing the
freedom fighters and their families present on the occasion, the minister said
that the country will always remember the brave martyrs who sacrificed their
lives to liberate the country. He said that today the country has achieved a
high position in the world in terms of power and economic strength and even
today the soldiers of our country are deployed on the borders of the country
and are strictly discharging their responsibilities to protect the country and
the countrymen. We all should salute them. In the program, the minister along
with the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police provided certificates
to the beneficiaries of Ayushman Card, Voter ID, Pension etc. and presented
shawls, garlands and sweets to the freedom fighters and their families present.
On this occasion, Chief Development Officer Sanya Chhawda, ADM, SDM etc. were
present. After this, the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police along
with the minister paid homage to the statue of former Prime Minister Atal
Bihari ji by garlanding him at Atal Chowk.
