Lucknow, 15 Aug
(HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath raised the flag twice on
Friday, first at his official house, 5 Kalidas Marg and later at the Vidhan
Sabha Bhawan grounds, paying respect to freedom warriors and heroic sons of the
country who gave their lives for India's security. In his speech, he highlighted the successes
of both his government and the Narendra Modi government at the Centre during
the previous eight and eleven year’s repectively, as well as launched a harsh
attack on the opposition. On this
occasion, he advocated for the abolition of poverty in Uttar Pradesh and the
creation of a trillion-dollar economy. Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that today marks the 78th anniversary of the
country's independence. “We extend our heartfelt congratulations and best
wishes to everyone. Independence is a symbol of countless sacrifices.
Independence demands sacrifices from all of us. This fight for independence
that went on for a long time in the country bore fruit under the decisive
leadership of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. On this occasion, I bow
to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and pay my humble tribute to all
those great freedom fighters, revolutionaries, known and unknown brave
soldiers, and the brave soldiers who protected the borders of the country after
the independence of the country, and all the soldiers who made their supreme
contribution for the internal security of the country,” he remarked.
Chief Minister
Yogi said that recently the whole country has seen the successful
implementation of India's strength and power through Operation Sindoor under
the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Modi. “I salute all those
soldiers who have strengthened the unity and integrity of India by defeating
the enemy despite adverse circumstances. When our soldier is vigilant towards
the borders of the country, gives his best contribution, then we can sleep
peacefully. Only then the country can see those golden dreams of development on
which a strong India is built,” he opined.
The Chief Minister
said that you have seen this journey of the last 78 years. “Experienced it and
heard this saga through the national festivals of the country. Remember,
independence does not mean freedom. Independence cannot mean hierarchy either.
Independence means a great festival for every Indian to be determined with his
duties. What is our national duty, what is our duty towards ourselves, towards
society, towards the country, if every citizen starts discharging his duty
honestly, and then we will be able to see the fulfillment of Prime Minister
Modi's resolution of developed India. India will be the biggest power in the
world in 2047 with strength. Remember, 11 years ago India was the 11th
largest economy in the world but due to the well planned efforts of Prime
Minister Modi, today it has emerged as the fourth largest economy in the world.
Today India has capability. India has power. The world has felt India's
Swadeshi and Make in India, when the Brahmos missile made in Lucknow has
defeated the enemy. Brothers and sisters, whether it is indigenous drone or
missile, India is progressing rapidly in the defense sector and aerospace
sector. Prime Minister Modi has called for making India a developed country.
Whether it is an item of daily use or an item to be gifted to a guest, if we
buy indigenous products prepared by our artisans and craftsmen, then our
country will prosper. India's money will be for India. This will become a model
to present India's capabilities to the world,” he added.
Chief Minister
attacked the opposition: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while counting the
achievements of his 8-year tenure, also attacked the opposition. He said that
this is the same Uttar Pradesh where neither the daughter nor the businessman
was safe. The atmosphere used to get worse after sunset. Today Uttar Pradesh
has emerged as a new model in law and order. Uttar Pradesh has not only emerged
as a model of security but also shows how one can be riot-free and achieve
success. Today Uttar Pradesh is moving fast in the same direction.
Eight and a half
lakh jobs given: Chief Minister Yogi said that important work has been done to
provide jobs to the youth of Uttar Pradesh. Eight and a half lakh youth have
been given jobs. Work has been done to connect more than one crore 62 lakh
youth with the MSME sector. Uttar Pradesh has established itself as the best
destination for investment. Today, if you ask any entrepreneur where he wants
to invest, he will say UP. If any state can become the dream destination for
investment, it is Uttar Pradesh. You must have seen that earlier entrepreneurs
used to think of migrating from Uttar Pradesh. Now an investment of 45 lakh
crores is coming. Out of that, an investment of 15 lakh crores has landed on
the ground. The possibility of employment has also developed.
Moving towards
becoming a state with a trillion dollar economy: If India will become a five
trillion dollar economy in 2027, then Uttar Pradesh is working fast to achieve
the target of one trillion dollar economy. 8 years ago, the per capita income
of Uttar Pradesh was 43000. Despite facing a pandemic like Covid for 3 years,
Uttar Pradesh has succeeded in increasing its GSDP from 13 to 19 lakh crores in
these 8 years. The growth rate of the state is moving in a better direction
than the national growth rate. Today, the per capita income of Uttar Pradesh
has reached Rs. one lakh 20,000. In the coming time, we have to come at par
with the national average in every sector. For this, the people of Uttar
Pradesh will have to work together.
Everyone will have
to work together to move forward in the direction of developed India, developed
Uttar Pradesh, self-reliant India, self-dependent Uttar Pradesh. The government
is ready to work for every person in need. If someone takes one step forward,
the government is ready to work 10 steps ahead with him. On this occasion,
apart from Uttar Pradesh, artists from Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar and
other states also gave performances. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya
Brijesh Pathak, Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharwal, former minister, Legislative
Council member Mahendra Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Brijlal and other public
representatives and officials graced the occasion with their august presence.
