New Delhi, August 13 (HS): As part of heightened security arrangements for the 2025 Independence Day celebrations, rail services between Delhi Junction and Delhi Shahdara Junction will be temporarily halted on August 15 from 6:45 AM to 9:00 AM, North Railway authorities announced on Wednesday.
The two-hour suspension will lead to changes in multiple train operations, including cancellations, diversions, short-term terminations/commencements, regulated stoppages, and rescheduled departures.
Cancelled Services:
- 74021 Delhi Jn – Saharanpur DMU
- 74024 Saharanpur – Delhi Jn DMU
- 64402 Delhi Jn – Sahibabad EMU
- 64411 Sahibabad – Delhi Jn EMU
- 64417 Ghaziabad – Delhi Jn MEMU
Diversions:
64111 Khurja Jn – Shakur Basti EMU will run via Sahibabad–Tilak Bridge–New Delhi–Delhi Kishanganj, skipping Vivek Vihar, Delhi Shahdara, and Delhi Jn.
Short-Term Termination/Origin:
- 64152 Delhi Jn – Aligarh MEMU will originate from Ghaziabad.
- 64022 Saharanpur – Delhi Jn MEMU will terminate at Delhi Shahdara.
- 64025 Delhi Jn – Shamli MEMU will originate from Delhi Shahdara.
- 54058 Shamli – Delhi Jn will terminate at Delhi Shahdara.
- 64567 Bulandshahr – Tilak Bridge MEMU will terminate at Sahibabad; the Sahibabad–Tilak Bridge section will be cancelled.
Regulated Trains:
Several trains including Jammu Tawi–Sambalpur (18310), Lalgarh–Dibrugarh (15910), Gaya–Delhi (03697) and others will face controlled movement at specific stations.
Rescheduled Departures:
- 12038 Delhi Jn – Kotdwar Siddhbali Jan Shatabdi: departs 08:50 (110 mins late)
- 15484 Delhi – Alipurduar: departs 09:00 (85 mins late)
- 12225 Azamgarh – Delhi: arrives 18:00 (90 mins late)
- 14042 Dehradun – Delhi: arrives 22:30 (70 mins late)
The railway administration has urged passengers to check updated schedules before traveling to avoid inconvenience on August 15.
