Bhubaneswar, 12 August (H.S.): Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday paid humble tributes to Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, the father of India’s space programme and a Padma Vibhushan awardee, on his birth anniversary.

Patnaik praised Dr. Sarabhai’s immense contribution in laying the foundation for India’s space and nuclear power sectors, terming him a visionary in nation-building. He also highlighted Sarabhai’s pioneering role in establishing premier institutions of repute, including the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A).

Patnaik said Dr. Sarabhai’s legacy and vision would continue to inspire generations to come.
