Golaghat (Assam), 12 August(HS): Goa Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said that ties between Assam and Goa will remain strong as Goa Police recruits are returning to their state after completing training in Assam.

Speaking to reporters after inspecting the passing out parade of Goa Police personnel, Dr. Sawant said that when people from Assam visit Goa, the officers trained here will have a special perspective towards them, having lived and trained among the people of Assam.

He added that this exchange will further strengthen the bond between the two states and will contribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.” He noted that living in another state naturally fosters a connection with it.

During the event, the Goa CM also praised Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for his support.
