Golaghat (Assam), 12 August (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday assured that the state is ready to extend its services to any part of India whenever required.
Speaking to the media after inspecting the passing-out parade of Goa Police personnel at the Lachit Barphukan Police Training Centre in Dergaon, CM Sarma said the facility, whose foundation was laid by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, has adequate infrastructure for police training.
He noted that apart from training Assam Police personnel, the centre has also trained recruits from Manipur and Goa. The 10-month training for Goa Police recruits concluded today with their formal passing-out ceremony.
CM Sarma expressed gratitude to Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant, who attended the event as chief guest, for inspiring the Assam Police and the people of the state. He also wished the newly trained Goa Police recruits a dedicated career in service to the nation.
