New Delhi, August 1 (H.S.): Rajya Sabha proceedings were disrupted again on Friday over the special intensive revision (SIR) of Bihar's voter list. The house was first adjourned until 12 PM and then until 11 AM on Monday due to opposition uproar. The session began with the presentation of documents, followed by Deputy Chairman Harivansh mentioning multiple notices regarding SIR, but 30 submitted notices were rejected, leading to chaos.
Aam Aadmi Party member Ashok Kumar Mittal raised concerns about overcrowding in hospitals, but the uproar persisted. When the house reconvened, opposition disruption continued, preventing Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw from responding to the first question, resulting in another adjournment.
