Delhi, 1 August (H.S.): Indian Naval Ships INS Delhi, Shakti, and Kiltan, part of the Eastern Fleet and led by RAdm Susheel Menon, recently arrived in Manila during their deployment to South East Asia. The Philippine Navy warmly welcomed them, highlighting the growing maritime relationship between India and the Philippines. RAdm Menon engaged with local media, reinforcing both nations' commitment to stability and maritime security.
The visit underscores the strategic importance of enhancing partnerships in the Indo-Pacific. Scheduled activities include operational planning discussions, Subject Matter Expert Exchanges (SMEE), cross-deck visits, and a bilateral maritime exercise aimed at improving joint manoeuvres, communication protocols, mutual trust, and operational synergy between the Indian and Philippine navies.
