Patna, July 9 (H.S.): The Bihar bandh organized by the INDIA alliance has significantly disrupted rail and road traffic in support of voter revision issues and trade union strikes. Protesters blocked routes statewide, including Patna, affecting movement on the Mahatma Gandhi Setu. Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav plan to march from the Income Tax Roundabout to the Election Commission office.

RJD leaders detained the Namobharat train at Darbhanga Junction, with Bhola Yadav claiming the voter list revision targets weaker classes. In Hajipur, RJD leaders blocked the Hajipur-Patna route and set tires ablaze at intersections. RJD MLA Mukesh Roshan confirmed the blockade on major routes under Tejashwi Yadav's direction. Various organizations, including Imarat-e-Shariah, support the bandh, organized by Congress, RJD, CPI(ML), and others advocating democracy. The RJD's students' wing block has halted trains at Jehanabad railway station, while roads in Khagaria are also obstructed by burning tires.
