Upon arrival, the leaders embraced, emphasizing the burgeoning ties between India and Argentina.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his official visit to Argentina on Saturday by honoring General José de San Martín, the Father of the Nation. At Plaza San Martin, he laid a wreath at the memorial, acknowledging San Martín's significant legacy as a liberator. India values his contributions, reflected in a road named after him in New Delhi, symbolizing the strong ties between India and Argentina.

The Prime Minister said in a X post,Paid homage to General José de San Martín in Buenos Aires. His courage and leadership played a pivotal role in Argentina’s history. His life remains a symbol of patriotism and determination for the people of Argentina.

This monument symbolizes Latin American independence and national pride. PM Modi's visit to the memorial highlights India's appreciation for global freedom fighters and shared values of liberty and sovereignty.This engagement marks the third stop in Modi's five-nation tour.
