Delhi, 6 July (H.S.): The Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday conferred with the Key to the City of Buenos Aires by Chief of the City Government of Buenos Aires Jorge Macri.

Earlier,Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Argentine President Javier Milei at Casa Rosada, marking the first Indian Prime Minister's visit to Argentina in 57 years and coinciding with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties. PM Modi expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and discussed enhancing cooperation in critical minerals, oil & gas, defence, nuclear energy, agriculture, science & technology, and digital infrastructure, while reviewing economic collaboration and acknowledging the need for diversification in trade. They also addressed the expansion of the India-MERCOSUR Preferential Trade Agreement.
PM Modi thanked Milei for Argentina's condemnation of the Pahalgam terrorist attack, emphasizing their shared commitment to combat terrorism. The leaders reaffirmed their strategic partnership and support for the Global South. PM Modi honored Mahatma Gandhi and Rabindranath Tagore's contributions by paying tribute at their busts in Buenos Aires.
President Milei expressed appreciation for Modi's historic visit, and an invitation was extended for Milei to visit India at a convenient time.PM Modi then headed to Rio de Janeiro for the 17th BRICS Summit, with Namibia as his final destination.
