Chitrakoot,

31 July (HS): In the birth anniversary celebrations of Saint Tulsidas (Tulsi

Jayanti) in the religious city of Chitrakoot in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister

Yogi Adityanath said that 500 years ago, when the condition of this village was

perhaps suffering from lack of resources and difficulties, at such a time a

divine soul was born, who dedicated himself to the feet of Lord Shri Ram in

childhood itself. He said that in that period when Akbar's empire was expanding

and there was a competition to get a place in the court, Tulsidas ji dedicated

himself as Rambola not in the service of any courtier but only in the devotion

of Lord Shri Ram.

CM

Yogi said that when the kings and princes of the country were accepting

subjugation of foreign invaders, at that time saints like Tulsidas were

awakening public consciousness as a wonderful confluence of devotion and power.

They chose the path of retaliation not through the sword, but through Ramlila

and Ramcharitmanas. The Chief Minister also pointed towards the political

tricks of that time. He said that Akbar presented a soft face of his rule, but

we can still see the cruelty behind it. The tradition of saints was strongly

resisting him even at that time. The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to

Jagatguru Rambhadracharya ji and Pujya Murari Bapu for inviting him to this

historical, spiritual and cultural program. In the program, the preachers of

Ram Katha were honored with Tulsi Award and Ratnavali Award.

Chitrakoot

is the center of faith and inspiration of devotees: On the religious and

cultural heritage of Chitrakoot, the Chief Minister said that this is the same

land where sages and saints meditated, where Lord Shri Ram spent the longest

time of his exile. This is the same land that provided the foundation for the

creation of texts like Ramayana and Ramcharitmanas. He said in clear words that

it is our good fortune that we could come here to see the revered saints. The

efforts made by Pujya Murari Bapu to keep the memory of Saint Tulsidas alive

are commendable. The Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime

Minister Narendra Modi, the work of connecting Chitrakoot with heritage and

development has started. This place is not only a historical place, but is the

center of faith and inspiration of millions of devotees.

Life

will be blessed by remembering the name of Ram: The Chief Minister also

discussed the contribution of Jagatguru Rambhadracharya Ji Maharaj in the

context of the Ramjanmabhoomi movement and said that when asked for proof,

Maharaj Ji started speaking fluently in front of him, he was stunned. This is

the siddhi of God. Welcoming the announcement of the upcoming Ram Katha events

to be held in Prayagraj, Ayodhya and Kashi by Pujya Murari Bapu, he said that

by remembering the name of Ram, everyone will bless their birth.

Ramcharit

Manas became a medium to keep the culture alive in Mauritius: The Chief

Minister also mentioned his Mauritius visit and said that during the times of

slavery when the ancestors were taken there for labour, their only support was

Tulsidas ji's Ramcharit Manas. They were not educated, but through Manas they

kept their culture alive. He said that today the descendants of the labourers

there have become heads of states and Ramcharit Manas is still the centre of

worship in homes.

Those

whose lives are controversial are the ones who are dragging the saints into

controversies: The Chief Minister also attacked those who link the revered

saints with controversies. He said that some people deliberately try to make

the revered saints controversial. Those whose lives are controversial are the

ones who do this. They will constantly try to create hindrances and obstacles,

but we will have to make united efforts to protect the rich heritage of Sanatan

Dharma and India without worrying about it. At the end of the program, he

congratulated all the Ram Katha experts honored with the Tulsi Award and

Ratnavali Award and called it an honor for their contribution to Sanatan

Dharma.

On

this occasion, Jagatguru Rambhadracharya, storyteller Murari Bapu, Jagatguru

Vishnuswami sect leader Swami Santoshacharya Ji Maharaj (Satua Baba), state

government minister Swatantra Dev Singh, district in-charge minister Manohar

Lal Mannu Kori and other dignitaries were present.
