Three Seriously Injured in Bike Collision in Karbi Anglong

Karbi Anglong (Assam), 29 July (HS): Three persons were seriously injured in a road accident involving two motorcycles in West Karbi Anglong district, police said on Tuesday. The collision occurred near Ampathar on the Kheroni-Jenkhan connecting road.

According to Kheroni police, the accident was a head-on collision between two bikes bearing registration numbers AS-09 D-0195 and AS-25 R-5974. The injured have been identified as Jayanath Chauhan of Long-Amek village, Gasvel Teran of Thesobil Terang village and Raju Chauhan of Long-Parpan village.

Locals rushed to the spot and helped transport the victims to Kheroni Hospital, where they were given first aid. All three were later referred to Diphu District Sadar Hospital for further treatment due to the severity of their injuries.

Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
