Mumbai, 29 July (HS): Chief Minister Devendra
Fadnavis warned his ministers to refrain from making controversial statements
or indulging in such activities, which would defame the government. While
issuing the strict warning, he also talked of action against ministers, if such
statements or actions is observed.
Fadnavis addressed all the ministers immediately
after the cabinet meeting in Mumbai on Tuesday. He said that is the final
warning to all the ministers.
Many ministers were caught making controversial
statements in the recent past. Agriculture Minister Manikraio Kokate was
caught on camera playing Rummy on his phone in the Assembly House. He also made
controversial statements on many occasions. Another minister, Nitesh Rane, was
also criticised for making unwanted statements. Police raided a bar in the name
of Minister of State Yogesh Ramdas Kadam’s mother in Mumbai’s Kandivli. Sanjay
Shirsat was involved in manhandling of a canteen employee. A video showing Shirsat
with huge cash also went viral. Girish
Mahajan is facing charges related to misuse of power.
Shiv Sena (UBT) delegation met the Governor C P
Radhakrishnan on Monday with a demand for action against these ministers.
