Gorakhpur,

29 July (HS): Canarys Automations Ltd

has announced the establishment of the Urban Flood Management Cell (UFMC) in

Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, indicating a significant step toward urban

resilience. The newly established cell

will act as an important hub for monitoring and controlling flood hazards,

deploying advanced early warning technologies to safeguard city residents from

possible flood damage. The historic

launch was attended by prominent people such as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi

Adityanath, who emphasized the necessity of modern flood management

measures. This strategic project

represents a significant step forward in securing cities against more

unpredictable weather patterns. The UFMC

is built on the 'Predict, Prepare, and protect' basis, which makes use of

cutting-edge technologies. It employs modern models to forecast rainfall,

prepare critical resources, and protect infrastructure from catastrophic flood

impacts, therefore successfully protecting the community's welfare and assuring

the city's continuing operation under extreme weather circumstances.
