New Delhi, July 22 (H.S.): Opposition parties outlined their key priorities on Tuesday for the upcoming parliamentary session, demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s presence to address these matters directly. Significant issues include the Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor, a statement by Donald Trump regarding India-Pakistan relations, and the ongoing SIR process in Bihar.
Congress leader K.C. Venugopal announced this after a meeting attended by prominent opposition figures, including Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi. The opposition aims to highlight various concerns, including the status of delimitation, escalating violence against Dalits, tribals, backward classes, and women, the AI 171 plane crash, and the ongoing conflict in Manipur.
Venugopal emphasized that these are critical public issues that require urgent parliamentary attention. He reiterated the opposition’s commitment to ensuring Gandhi is permitted to speak in Parliament. The motion to raise these issues will be pursued in both Houses, with a focus on addressing the serious implications for citizens. The opposition insists that meaningful discussions on these subjects are essential and must be prioritized in the parliamentary discourse.
