Delhi, 10 July (H.S.): PM Modi has departed for New Delhi after successfully concluding a significant five-nation tour, visiting Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina, Brazil, and Namibia.

During Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent five-nation visit, significant agreements and partnerships were established. In Trinidad and Tobago, six agreements weroverall

d focusing on infrastructure, pharmaceuticals, development, sports, education, cultural exchange, and diplomatic training, following discussions between PM Modi and PM Kamla Persad-Bissessar. A key outcome includes a framework on the Indian Pharmacopoeia to improve access to Indian pharmaceuticals. An Indian grant for Quick Impact Projects was also announced, alongside agreements related to sports and the revival of ICCR Chairs for Hindi and Indian Studies at the University of the West Indies. A cultural exchange program is slated for 2025-2028, while PM Modi extended Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cards to the sixth generation of the Indian diaspora. He provided 2000 laptops to schoolchildren and promised USD 1 million worth of agro-processing machinery to NAMDEVCO. An Artificial Limb Fitment Camp for 800 individuals was launched, and under the 'Heal in India' initiative, specialized medical care will be available for Trinidad and Tobago citizens, with the addition of twenty Hemodialysis Units and two sea ambulances. The installation of solar panels at the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs' headquarters was also announced.

PM Modi then visited Argentina, marking a significant occasion as it was the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister in 57 years, aligned with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations. In discussions with President Javier Milei, they focused on cooperation in critical minerals, oil & gas, defense, nuclear energy, agriculture, and digital infrastructure, highlighting the positive bilateral trade trajectory and exploring the expansion of the India-MERCOSUR Preferential Trade Agreement.

Following Argentina, PM Modi attended the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. At the summit, attended by leaders from various nations, including new members, Modi emphasized key global issues such as global governance reform, multilateralism, and sustainable development. He acknowledged Brazil's hospitality and promoted India's commitment to the Global South regarding climate finance and technology access, advocating for UN Security Council reform and a multipolar world. During an outreach session, PM Modi underscored climate justice and technology transfer for developing nations while highlighting India's proactive stance on environmental protection and collaborative global health initiatives.

Concluding his visit, PM Modi arrived in Namibia, marking the third visit by an Indian Prime Minister. Discussions with Deputy Prime Minister Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah concentrated on strengthening cooperation in technology, defense, security, agriculture, healthcare, and critical minerals. PM Modi underscored the importance of enhancing trade and energy while acknowledging Namibia's support for Project Cheetah. Post-meeting, four agreements were signed to strengthen collaboration in health and medicine, establish an entrepreneurship development center, and implement frameworks for disaster resilience and global biofuels.

PM Modi received Namibia’s highest civilian award, the Order of the Most Ancient Welwitschia Mirabilis, recognizing his role in enhancing bilateral relations, marking his 27th award over all
