Patna, July 10(HS): The Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) conducted raids in Patna, Sahrsa, and Sitamarhi targeting Bihar government official Pramod Kumar of the Bihar State Educational Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited. Operations included one team in Sitamarhi, three in Sahrsa, and two in Patna, comprising senior EOU officers and technical experts, with security forces present.

Preliminary investigations revealed Kumar's assets exceed his known income by 309.61%, prompting a case registration under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Seized items include documents on land, bank accounts, investment files, and electronic devices. Further action will follow a forensic examination of the digital data, aligning with the state's anti-corruption efforts.
