Mumbai, 04 June (HS): Maharashtra is leading in
drafting laws for the welfare of the people. The state also leads in following
the rules compared to other states in the country. Other states and countries
are following the Maharashtra pattern, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Fadnavis was speaking during a function to mark the
golden jubilee year of Law and Justice Department. He also released
five books and unveiled a Logo during the function held at Sahyadri Guest House
in Mumbai. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Minister of State for Law Ashish
Jsinwal, Chief Secretary Sujata Sounik, Principal Secretary Suvarna Kewle,
Chief Secretary and Legal Advisor Shukla, and Secretary of Law Department
Satish Waghole were present.
Transformation of the Department should start from
this day. The department contributes to drafting laws. In the present situation, laws are required to be drafted for the welfare of the people and discussed in
depth in the Assembly. These drafts are important literature to guide future generations, he said. He also emphasized the need for apprenticeship for law students, particularly in rural areas.
