Mumbai, 04 June (HS): Maharashtra is leading in

drafting laws for the welfare of the people. The state also leads in following

the rules compared to other states in the country. Other states and countries

are following the Maharashtra pattern, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

Fadnavis was speaking during a function to mark the

golden jubilee year of Law and Justice Department. He also released

five books and unveiled a Logo during the function held at Sahyadri Guest House

in Mumbai. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Minister of State for Law Ashish

Jsinwal, Chief Secretary Sujata Sounik, Principal Secretary Suvarna Kewle,

Chief Secretary and Legal Advisor Shukla, and Secretary of Law Department

Satish Waghole were present.

Transformation of the Department should start from

this day. The department contributes to drafting laws. In the present situation, laws are required to be drafted for the welfare of the people and discussed in

depth in the Assembly. These drafts are important literature to guide future generations, he said. He also emphasized the need for apprenticeship for law students, particularly in rural areas.
