New Delhi, June 4 (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow on Wednesday over the deaths of people in the accident that occurred in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh. The Prime Minister announced an ex-gratia amount of two lakh rupees from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for each deceased's close relatives and fifty thousand rupees for the injured. PM Modi also wished for the quick recovery of those injured in the accident. The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) posted on X, Deeply anguished by the loss of lives due to an accident in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured recover soon.
An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of each deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000: PM @narendramodi.
In the late-night road accident between Sajeli gate and Thandla Road railway station under the Meghnagar police station area in Jhabua district, Madhya Pradesh, nine people died on the spot, while three others were injured. The victims were returning from a wedding ceremony when a truck coming at high speed collided with their Eco vehicle.
