Ahmedabad, June 2 (H.S.): The Indian Premier League 2025 will see a new champion crowned as the Punjab Kings face the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the final on June 3. Punjab secured their spot by defeating the Mumbai Indians in Qualifier-2. It marks the first final appearance for both teams in IPL history. RCB, having been the runner-up three times in previous finals (2009, 2011, 2016), seeks their first title, while this is Punjab's second final after losing to Kolkata Knight Riders in 2014.

Punjab's captain, Shreyas Iyer, has made history by leading three different teams to the finals, having previously taken Delhi Capitals and won with Kolkata Knight Riders. Both teams demonstrated strong performances in the league stage, with each winning 9 out of 14 matches. Their earlier encounters included Punjab defeating RCB on their home turf, but RCB triumphed over Punjab in Qualifier-1, bowling them out for just 101 runs, thereby advancing directly to the final.

Now, as the IPL 2025 final approaches, cricket fans eagerly anticipate witnessing a new champion emerge in Ahmedabad.
