Chennai, 2 June (H.S.) : The Tirupur police have arrested a 28-year-old man for allegedly engaging in online gambling activities. The accused was found to be operating an online platform that facilitated betting and gambling, violating the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Online Gambling Act.

The police seized several electronic devices, including mobile phones and laptops, from the accused's possession. These devices were allegedly used to manage and promote the online gambling platform. The investigation revealed that the accused had been running the platform for several months, targeting vulnerable individuals and luring them into betting.

The arrest was made following a tip-off and subsequent investigation by the police. The authorities are now working to identify other individuals involved in the online gambling racket and take action against them.
