Chennai, 2 June (H.S.) : The Chennai police have arrested five individuals, including a woman, for allegedly selling drugs at a beauty parlour in Kodambakkam. The accused were found to be peddling narcotics, including MDMA and ganja, to customers visiting the parlour.

Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid on the parlour and apprehended the accused. During the raid, the police seized a quantity of narcotics and other incriminating evidence. The accused were taken into custody and are currently being interrogated by the police.

The police investigation revealed that the beauty parlour was being used as a front for the illicit drug trade. The accused had allegedly been operating the racket for some time, targeting young people and peddling narcotics to them.

The arrest highlights the growing concern over the spread of narcotics in the city, and the police are working to identify other individuals involved in the racket. The case underscores the need for increased vigilance and stricter enforcement of laws to curb the menace of drug abuse
