New Delhi, June 15(HS): The Congress Party has condemned Israel's attacks on Iranian territory, asserting that they escalate regional instability and threaten global peace. Jairam Ramesh emphasized that these military actions violate Iran's sovereignty and may lead to further conflict. The party advocates for diplomacy and international cooperation as the only sustainable solutions, cautioning that ongoing confrontation could result in large-scale war in West Asia, causing humanitarian and economic devastation.

Jairam Ramesh called on the Indian government to adopt a clear stance and actively work toward de-escalation. Highlighting India's civilizational ties with Iran and strategic relations with Israel, Congress suggests that India should act as a peace bridge, recognizing the significant number of Indian citizens in the region.
