New Delhi, June 13 (H.S.): The 17th edition of the India-Mongolia Joint Military Exercise NOMADIC ELEPHANT concluded today in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, attended by Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh and Lieutenant General Pushpendra Singh. The Indian Army contingent, mainly from the ARUNACHAL SCOUTS battalion, participated in the two-week exercise focused on enhancing interoperability between the Indian Army and the Mongolian Armed Forces in semi-conventional scenarios under UN mandate.

During the closing ceremony, the Defence Secretary praised the professionalism and dedication of the Indian soldiers, emphasizing the exercise's significance in reinforcing the friendship, mutual trust, and shared cultural ties between India and Mongolia. This exercise not only fosters military cooperation but also highlights India’s commitment to regional peace. Additionally, the Defence Secretary is set to attend the Opening Ceremony of the Multinational Joint Military Exercise KHAAN QUEST 2025, taking place from June 14 to 28, 2025, showcasing India’s growing defence diplomacy and the strategic partnership with Mongolia.
