New Delhi, June 12 (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a meeting with all BJP MPs and MLAs in Delhi at his official residence 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, lasting about three and a half hours on wednesday. This marks his first engagement with Delhi party leaders since the BJP's sweeping victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls and the anticipated majority in the 2025 Assembly elections. The meeting coincided with the BJP's 11-year central government anniversary and the completion of 100 days under Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Party leaders characterized the gathering as symbolic and festive.

Discussions included the Delhi government’s 100-day report card, and Modi encouraged MPs to enhance outreach in their constituencies, stressing the importance of the 'Clean Delhi Green Delhi' initiative. He offered guidance on facilitating development in the capital.

Discussions revolved around urban infrastructure, pollution control, public transport, sanitation, and the implementation of the ‘Clean Delhi, Green Delhi’ initiative. Prime Minister Modi emphasised the importance of coordinated governance between the Centre and the Delhi government, calling for a “triple-engine” model—Centre, state, and local bodies working in unison.

In a post on X,PM Modi shared, “Interacted with Delhi BJP MPs, MLAs and other leaders. We had extensive discussions on ways to improve the quality of life for the people of Delhi.” He also posted photographs from the meeting, which included BJP national general secretary (Organisation) BL Santhosh and Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva.

Delhi Assembly Deputy Speaker Mohan Singh Bisht described the period as golden, crediting Modi's leadership for significant national and local advancements. MP Yogendra Chandolia noted the meeting's focus on Modi's political and administrative vision for Delhi, highlighting the BJP's establishment of government in Delhi after 27 years of opposition.
