Amravati, 10 June (HS): The work on the Late R S alias
Dadasaheb Gavai Memorial should be expedited, said Amravati District Collector
Ashish Yerekar.
Yerekar addressed a meeting with representatives of
different organisations involved in developing the memorial. Installing Gavai’s
statue, a photo exhibition gallery and an auditorium are three sections of the
memorial. J J School of Arts has been requested to procure all documents, including
the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for making and installing the statue.
Selection of photographs and paintings, screening of videos, space required for
their display, and adequate space for the visitors, his speeches made using
Artificial Intelligence will be made available at the memorial.
Dadasaheb Gavai, a native of Amravati, rose to become
Governor of Bihar, Kerala, and Sikkim was a social activist and politician. His
wife, Kamlatai Gavai, attended the meeting with Yerekar and others.
