Azamgarh, 10 June (HS): In Gaura

village of Mehanagar police station area of ​​the district, a mother strangled

her 6-year-old daughter to death and seriously injured her 3-year-old son. The

injured son has been admitted to the hospital, where his condition is said to

be critical. Police reached the spot, took the body into custody and sent it

for post-mortem. The husband has filed a complaint against his wife. Police are

investigating the incident. Sunil Yadav, a resident of Gaura village of

Mehanagar police station area, lives in Lucknow and drives a vehicle to support

his family. He had come home about 20 days back to attend the wedding of his

brother Manish Yadav.

Late Monday evening, his wife

started beating both their children. Sunil stopped his wife from doing so,

which angered her and she tried to hang herself, but the villagers stopped her.

After which the matter calmed down. But late at night, she strangled her 6-year-old

daughter to death and also tried to strangle her three-year-old son, but he

escaped and has been admitted to a private hospital for treatment.

After receiving information about

the incident, the police reached the spot and took the body of the dead

daughter into custody and sent it for postmortem. The husband Sunil Yadav has

filed a complaint against his wife in Mehanagar police station. The police is

investigating the incident.
